Anti-Racism for Leaders and DEI Advocates

Anti-Racism for Leaders and DEI Advocates Group Class

Theme: Business Communications & Marketing

Trainer: Mary Waweru

This course was created to guide people who hold cultural and racial privileges and power in their organisations as business communications and marketing professionals. Whether it is using terms like ‘third-world countries’ or images that depict white saviourism and perpetuate Black servitude, you will learn how they harmfully portray racially marginalised communities and get safer alternatives.

As an anti-racism advocate, this course will give you a better understanding of how race and culture intersect with gender and other dimensions. This will guide you on the tools and methods necessary to effectively work in an intersectional, inclusive and anti-racist manner. You will be provided with exercises for practice and examples of the strategies and programmes you should implement in your role.
