Social impact

Organisations have a significant role to play in building better and more inclusive services, products and societies. This awareness and interconnection should be reflected in your activities and intentional programmes and initiatives created to specifically alleviate suffering and curb societal ills. These initiatives can be broken down to suit different communities.

We guide you through partnerships and activities that elevate different communities and centre the most marginalised people in society. Depending on your industry and location, we turn ideas and intentions into actions that are measurable and meaningful.

  • Do you want to build socially impactful programmes here or abroad? We can create and go through the process with you!

  • Are you looking to design socially meaningful campaigns? Do you want to inspire everyone to tackle some of society’s biggest ills and issues? We will plan this with you from start to finish!

  • We are happy to guide you through the social and cultural details if you:

    • Plan to set up an office to support your philanthropy initiatives locally and in emerging economies.

    • Need certainty about going into partnerships and how they could influence society’s marginalised cultures.

    • Want to make sure the most marginalised people are included in the process and that your communications support your mission.

  • Some of the traditionally excluded communities we strive to elevate include:

    • Immigrant women

    • Black/African women

    • International students/graduates

    • Racially marginalised communities

    • Religiously marginalised communities

    • Racially marginalised people with intersecting identities, e.g., LGBTQIA+, disabled people, etc.

Current and Future Projects

  • The African Diaspora

    The Moments with Africa Series

Crest Impact has been organising the Moments with Africa events once a month since October 2024. We are planning subsequent and different projects that centre the African diaspora. These causes aim to strengthen and uplift this important yet excluded community and provide a safe space where ideas can be generated and fulfilled through partnerships that are mentally, culturally, spiritually, academically and economically beneficial for the African community. This will be done hand in hand with addressing systemic racism issues around the world.

We are seeking organisations to sponsor and partner with us on this and other social impact projects.

According to the Being Black in the EU: Experiences of People of African Descent report that was conducted by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and released in October 2023, the 12 European Union countries that were found to be the most hostile towards Black people are ranked in this specific order: Austria, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Spain, Sweden and Poland.

Crest Impact takes this issue with the utmost seriousness and seeks to bring the African community in Europe and beyond together to advocate for a safer and more inclusive society that humanises and values people of African descent. We are already working tirelessly to change the experiences of African-ancestry people globally by uniting the community and developing strategies for anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion, social impact and overall development that come from within the community and need your support.

In many cases within professional and leadership spaces, African-ancestry people are underrepresented and in unfortunate cases tokenised and harmed. This means that the experiences of the collective will continue to either be ignored or downplayed. We want to change this concerning reality by building a platform that celebrates and advocates for African-ancestry people. Work with us! The more people see African-ancestry people in our diversity, strengths and talents, the more they learn about us and debunk false racial narratives that contribute to our exclusion and negative experiences.

Crest Impact believes in creating meaningful change through advocacy and representation. With our love and cultural roots in Kenya, we promote learning, engaging and building together as a global community in the spirit of umoja (unity). The goal of our social impact work is for organisations and society at large to make decisions that include and benefit all of us no matter where we are in this world.

When you pay for our anti-racism and diversity, equity and inclusion services and courses, it primarily benefits you and your organisation. By hiring us, you also enable us to extend our services to those with less resources like students, economically excluded people, underemployed people of immigrant background, etc.

Paying for our anti-racism and diversity, equity and inclusion services would be a terrific opportunity for your organisation to uplift a small business that wants to support with grassroots and academic projects using our own resources. This has far-reaching impact that contributes to scaling your commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion. Moreover, your partnership as a paying client will contribute to a safer, open-minded, and more economically inclusive Finnish society!

Contact us if you would like us to get involved with your causes. Stay tuned to see more of our mentorship and social impact work.

YOUR PARTNERSHIP IS IMPORTANT!
